Mad Sheep is a publisher devoted to rediscovering good books of popular fiction from the past. Our list includes crime fiction, weird fiction, science fiction and pulp fiction.
So many excellent writers of crime fiction are now forgotten. We aim to rediscover some of them, from the Victorian days and the Edwardian times (the post Sherlock Holmes age of crime fiction) as well as from the Golden Age of mystery (the Hercule Poirot age of crime fiction). Beginning with the works of Louis Tracy (1863-1928), chronicler of the investigations of the sollicitor Reginald Brett and of the long career of the detectives James Winter and Charles Furneaux (each time, in the restored British text, not the US version).
